Hi Gary!
Today you can watch live on TV here in Norway when Magnus and Vishy play the final in the rapidchess here. Magnus was Hammered by Hammer so it seems that being a fashion icon and being treated like a pop star could be tough on him!
I wish you good luck with your guitar - here's some lyrics for ya:

Your body aches
Playin' your guitar
Sweatin' out the hay
The days and the nights
All feel the same

The whiskey has been
A thorn in your side
It doesn't forgive
The highway that carves your heart inside

(Chorus)
And this ain't no place for the weary kind
This ain't no place to lose your mind
This ain't no place to fall behind
Pick up your crazy heart and give it one more try

I had a look at the ICCF forum today.  All the topics are locked.  That's pretty awesome.  Was there some disagreement or was  a certain delegate offended about something recently?

Summer is a good time to watch chess n the internet.  Many events in Canada and Canadian players in other events.  This last week I watched the games from the events in Barcelona.  Players win, players lose, players lose because they are sick.  I never beat a well player over the board.

Maybe I'll get my guitar and write a song.

I left my rating points
In Barcelona
Inside the toilet
Where I was sick

The rest will come to me after I get the guitar.

Hi Arild:

Well, I have had several new events start.  So the last few days have been busy busy...

Also, I am pretty much on hold waiting for the ICCF general forum to re-open.  I have posted several times in the ICCF tournament section... things that would normally go into the general section, but I needed some quicker advice.

Sincerely,
Ed

Hello Arild,

Spending some time on Facebook, but mainly watching and waiting for the ICCF forum to be reopened for posting on general topics.  Plus, its been a pretty summer for me with work and travel.

All the best,
Grayling

Perhaps you are playing more exciting openings! Sometimes it is hard to be creative with the  vast amount of opening theory ! I still try to whip the old dragon! :Smiley

I pretty well stick to my knitting... I come from Missouri, the "Show Me" state.  And that's pretty much the way I play chess.
